Artist’s Statement

Creating has been a part of my life in one form or another for as long as I can remember. As a classically trained musician of 15 years, I first learned the language of music, followed by the art of literature and writing, then went on to study business and painting. It was in Art education where I found my passion as a Painter. I have devoted years to learning, growth as an Artist, and furthering my artistic knowledge to better deliver my paintings.

In my pieces you'll find shades of blue, gold, warm taupe and pinks. You will find bold stylings with intent and confidence behind each noticeable pallet knife and brush stroke. You will find texture amid soft lines and elegant art that flow in balance.

All my work has its roots in Impressionism, with branches to Abstract and Impasto stylings. I draw inspiration for my pieces from life’s endearing beauty and have been influenced by the vibrance and textured brushwork of Fauvism. I hold the process of conveying an emotion through paint as the core first step in each of my pieces. I hope to ignite inspiration and joy in Art Enthusiasts and Collectors as they absorb the works I create.

My intent is to create uplifting Art that elevates and inspires others to step out of their comfort zones, and into their bliss.
